I have been so honored by the overwhelming support of my fellow bloggers! Since they have been so supportive of my DIY round ups, it will now become my regular Monday feature. I hope you will continue to stop by on Mondays.
I have been on a major DIY kick lately! You could probably tell by my Pinterest boards, because I have a lot of future DIY projects planned. So here are a few of my inspirations for this month from some very talented bloggers. Thanks so much to Pili, Rosita, Addie, and Ronnie for allowing me to share their projects.
Please visit each blog for full instructions, and let them know how much you appreciate all their talent, and hard work that goes in to making amazing DIY projects. They would love some extra pins and comments!
DIY All You Need is Love Picture Frame
Pili from My Sweet Things had an empty space on her bedroom wall that needed to be filled. She decided to chalk paint some old picture frames that once belonged to her mother in-law. After she finished painting them she then applied a little bit of gray paint to add some color and detail. So here came the hard part, what should she put in them? She originally thought about using some pictures, but nothing quite fit right. So she decided on a romantic saying since these were to go in her master bedroom. Pili has also included these prints for purchase in her website if you like them. So now for little about her… Pili is passionate about crafts and everything related creating things with her own hands. She lives in Mallorca, where they enjoy raising our three wonderful kids. So I hope you will check out some more of her DIY projects especially her jewelry holder.[bctt tweet=”All you need is #Love #DIY picture by @MarademisCosita. “]
DIY Colorful Plant Stand
Rosita from All in Place Blog took an old plant stand made that needed a little t.l.c and updated with this gorgeous blue. Then she found this gorgeous terra-cotta planter to complete the look. I love how colorful this is with her orange mums. It truly is amazing what a little paint can do to something that was originally headed to the landfill. Rosita is from Canada and specializes in team building, marketing, and communications. Her blog passions are home decor and staging. I hope you will check out some of her other great projects.[bctt tweet=”#DIY a colorful plant stand this fall with instructions by @AllinPlace_Comm”]
DIY Faux Fringe Booties
Addie from Old World New loves to tweak her clothing to get several new looks from them. Here she took her favorite boots and added fringe to them to get a another new look. Addie used velcro to make the fringe removable. I love how versatile this can be, and the fact you are not permanently changing the boots. Addie’s blog is focused on making old things new again, and taking time to slow down and remember old ways of life, and blend the good lessons from the past with the great ingenuity of the present.[bctt tweet=”#DIY yourself some cute faux fringe booties instructions by @OldWorldNewGirl “]
DIY Cloth Diaper Inserts
Ronni from The Screenwriter’s Wife was pregnant with her son when she won a blog giveaway contest for some diaper covers and inserts. That contest really showed her how much she loved the diaper covers she had won over the ones se used with her first child. Ronni also realized she did not want to purchase a whole new diaper system, because she had used pre-folds with her first child. So then the DIY’er kicked in and she decided to retrofit her old pre-folds to snap into the new covers. Ronni blogs about keeping her marriage, family life, finances – and sanity – intact while patiently waiting for her husband’s big break…[bctt tweet=”Make your own #Diaper inserts with directions by @scrnwriterswife. “] [bctt tweet=”#Love these #DIY projects! Never Miss Another DIY Project!
So I hope to get a few of these amazing projects done soon. I think we all need a little creative time to stay sane. Maybe I can disappear in to the craft room soon (aka hide from kids)!
