I don’t know about you, but my metabolism seems to be slowing down each and every year! So while looking for new ways to increase mine, but also help regulate my hormones I found Fast Metabolism Food RX by Haylie Pomroy. I have really enjoyed reading this book! Let me tell you why. Fast Metabolism Food Rx starts off with Haylie’s own story about how she overcame her health problems and encourages us to find a way too! Let me tell you that she really had some major things going on. Haylie focuses on listening to your body while using food to help eliminate those problems.
I like how she broke down how our body is talking to us in 3 different ways. Haylie’s powerful food prescription plans are really broke down by what condition you are try to improve, and not just a one diet approach for everyone. Which I tend to like! Because we each have different goals to work towards. I’m trying to avoid hereditary diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Were as you probably have different needs, and your food prescription plan should be centered on getting your body the proper nutrients to help fix your problems.
Last section of Fast Metabolism Food RX is centered on eat to thrive! Haylie even included a diagnosis quiz which will help you figure out where to start.

One thing to keep in mind this book is not centered on weight loss, but on healthy portions of the right foods to help your body heal. If you are wanting to center more on weight loss you should probably consider The Fast Metabolism Diet: Eat More Food and Lose More Weight instead.
