Every family has their ups and downs! It is just part of it… But how can you rise above those hurt feelings? And mend the relationship?
I love my family and friends, but it is so easy to come to a disagreement over something so simple. For our family, most arguments seem to happen after a long day when we are feeling unappreciated. You know those days when you just spent all day cleaning, and no one notices.
Feeling unappreciated happens to all of us. And those feelings stink! But as a married couple of 15 years, we’ve both felt that way from time to time. But to be honest, it is mostly me who feels like that! Being a work at home mom is stressful. And, even though I love being there for my kids, it is the hardest job I’ve ever done.
But what happens if you are the one stuck their foot in their mouth?
You are tired, maybe hormonal, and you just blurted out those hurtful words. And you really didn’t mean to say them! Now you feel like the biggest jerk in the world. You need to make amends, and show them you care!
How to Make Amends?
Having a conversation is the first steps to making peace! Every apology needs start with a genuine ‘I’m sorry.’ Then take the time to listen to their feelings.
And, if you happen to begin that conversation with a sweet and chocolatey piece of Edwards Pie you will definitely make that conversation go smoother.
Because after all, everyone can agree on pie.
Seriously, doesn’t that chocolate and cream look amazing?
I love Edwards‘ HERSHEY’S Chocolate Crème Pie! It is layered with delicious HERSHEY’S Chocolate from the chocolate crumb crust to the chocolate. And has a vanilla crème filling with chocolate chips and drizzle on top. It is a chocolate lovers dream!
Why do I love using Edwards Pie as My Peace Offerings?
- They are Yummy!
- Keeping a few in the freezer is easy.
- They thaw in just a few hours.
- Lots of great flavors to pick from.
How are Edwards Pie Making ‘Piece’ this Pi Day?
This Pi Day (3.14.17), Edwards Desserts is facilitating a day of peace by inviting folks to push pause and share “piece” instead. Pie can’t solve everything, but it can be a (delicious) way for people to come together for one day to have a conversation.
