A recent trend I have been noticing is the choosing of a “Word of the Year,” a word to guide you in the new year. I have decided to hop my butt up on this band wagon and ride along.

My Word of the Year is:
To me, “become” encompasses every aspect of my life. This year I will become so many things to myself and so many others. I will grow more into myself and push my boundaries farther than ever before, and I will celebrate this new growth.[bctt tweet=”I will become a stronger person. #inspiration #quote @Miss_Meggie_E “]
I will become a stronger person. I will become a forgiver and a forgetter, a savorer of the good times, and a smiler ever when times are hard. I will become more gentle, more kind, more compassionate, and more impartial.[bctt tweet=” I will become a forgiver and a forgetter! #inspiration #quote @Miss_Meggie_E”]
And by 2017, everything I have become with coalesce into what I call “me.”
Why choose a word of the year? It gives you something to work towards. Maybe your word of the year is “Compassion” or “Humility.” Try journaling about that word and how it affects you, what it means to you personally, or how you are trying to incorporate that word into your daily life. Collect quotes or stories that make that word come alive to you.

Tell other people what your word is (unless its private) and see what theirs is! It can be a really fun exchange. In fact, why don’t you tell me what your Word is in the comments??? I would love to hear them, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll inspire someone else!
Happy wording! (Is that actually a word…?)
