This week quote is centered on becoming an excellent leader, mother, teacher, or even a dreamer. As parents, we become leaders, teachers, and storytellers. Our goal is to inspire our children to become the best adults they can be, and show them how they can be amazing leaders too.
I hope my kids will look back and be able to say: ‘My mom was not afraid to dream, she never stopped learning, taught herself how to accomplish her goals, and she taught me to become a leader too.’
“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then, you are an excellent leader.”
– Dolly Parton
What examples of a great leader do we have in our life?
Think of your mother, and how she was able to inspire you. How she never stop believing you can do anything? I know my mom did, and still does to this very day. She exactly knew how to encourage me to become the best person I can be. She showed me how to be a mother, and how to become a leader, just as her mother taught her. Will you be able to do the same for your kids?

I know I am very far from the perfect mother, but that still does not stop me from trying help my children to become better leaders. My kids need to see that not everything comes easy just because you are an adult. Sure, they will watch you struggle to learn that new task, and so what if it takes you several times to find out how to do it.
Guess what the will learn by your actions? That you kept learning, you didn’t give up, and you eventually learned that new skills that you never thought you would be able too.

Did I realize as a kid that my parents were leaders?
No!
Did I realize they were guiding and nudging me in the best path?
Yes! Does that mean I always went right along? No, I had my everyday childhood moments where there was no way I was going to listen to mother. Was she right? Okay, even now I don’t want to admit it, but yes she was.
Do I still fight her leadership now?
I would love to say no, but that would just be plain lying. Example: Even a couple weeks ago I started a new face cream. Next thing I know I had a small rash on my neck. But, did I listen when my mother told me I had an allergic reaction? No! I kept using the cream for another week and ended up with a hug, raw, painful rash. See I still stupidly fight her even now.
