My blogging and social media goals are just beginning! Back in October I shared my first Twitter goals with you on my Twitter Guide for Newbies. I realized that with a little effort I could easily gain 500 followers per month, and so could you!

By using with my tips in that post I have well exceeded my expectations!
Here are my updated analytics:

During October I gained 746 new followers! I am super excited to have all you following me.

November was a little busy for me. So I was only able to gain 686 new followers. But I am very excited to gain all of my new tweeps!
So what are my new Twitter Goals?
- Gain 1,000 followers per month
- Increase Profile Visits to 10,000
- Tweet a minimum of 25 per day
I know these goals are steep, but I do think they are do able for me. One thing I’ve changed is I am now following more people, and using Unfollowers to remove anyone who doesn’t follow back. After 5 days if a user doesn’t follow back, I will unfollow them so I can follow others.
I know a lot of people hate this method, but I do search for people who have same interests as me. My favorite hashtag I search is #momlife. For all my favorite hashtags visit Ultimate Hashtag List.
Keep in mind Twitter has restrictions after you follow 2,000 users. Generally they will allow you to follow 10% more than who follows you, but some may have other restrictions or other percentages.
For example:
2,000 followers means you can follow 2,200
3,000 followers means you can follow 3,300
Why does following more users work?
It gets you noticed and that will lead to users seeing you, and potentially following you. I know not everyone likes this tactic, but it works!
My Twitter Suggestions:
- Update your profile (IBA has a great post here)
- Get Rid of Eggheads! (I will not follow a user without a profile image)
- Make your own Twitter Goals
So to help keep me accountable I am going to start sharing with you every month what worked, and if I was able to reach my goals!
What are your goals? Share them in the comments.
